Title Insurance is an insured statement of the condition of your ownership rights to a certain piece of property. An Owner’s Title Policy describes your property in detail and states what limitations, if any, there are to your ownership.

We have scheduled our next FREE 1st Time Home Buyer seminar for Thursday, March 12th 2009.  We will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end around 9:00 p.m. 

This session will be held at the Keller Williams Realty Real Estate Training Center located at 2119 W. Brandon Blvd.  This is just east of the Mall and Interstate 75 on the south side of the road.

We will open the doors at 6:30 for registration and refreshments.  You must be registered to win a door prize.

First Time Home Buyers are lining up to take advantage of the Record Low Interest Rates, pre-2004 home prices and motivated sellers. 

Rates on 30-year mortgages set a record for a fifth straight week by dropping to below 5 percent, the lowest mark since Freddie Mac started tracking the data in 1971.

Mortgage rates have been dropping since late November, when the Federal Reserve said it was going to pump money into the banking system by buying $500 billion in mortgage-backed securities to get banks to lend more money and perhaps aid the ailing U.S. housing market.

Freddie Mac reported Thursday that average rates on 30-year fixed mortgages dropped to 4.96 percent this week, down from the previous record of 5.01 percent established last week. It was the 11th straight weekly drop, and way below the rate of 5.69 percent at the same time last year.

Rates at are their lowest since the company started its survey in April 1971, Freddie Mac said.

The Florida Legislature is in the midst of revising the 2009 budget because of declining tax revenue. Among items on the chopping block is funding for the SHIP and SAIL programs (Sadowski Funds), which provide much needed down-payment assistance and housing for those who need it the most.

It is through Realtor efforts that we have these funds (doc stamps paid at all real estate closings), and want to protect what we have worked so hard to achieve!

Please contact your legislator today and remind them that housing equals jobs! One of the best investments is in the housing sector, where the economic stimulus is over 6-to-1 for every dollar spent. Click on the link below to send your message today!

In the past, the Sadowski Fund had over a billion dollars (yes, BILLION)  in it!  The Florida Legislature appropriated some of those funds and when it was finally released to the state down-payment assistance programs, there was only $400 million!
